About 2013 GMC Yukon
A new exterior color is offered in 2013: Champagne Silver Metallic. Also new is powertrain grade braking in the normal transmission mode -- it was previously incorporated only when the Tow/Haul mode was activated. It uses engine torque to help slow the vehicle on descents, which helps reduce brake wear.
With the available segment-exclusive second-row power fold-and-tumble seats, each seat unlatches, folds and tumbles out of the way with a simple, one-hand operation for easier access to the third-row seat.
Yukon models are offered in 2WD and 4WD configurations. The Yukon XL is also offered in a heavy-duty 2500-series model. A third-row seat is standard on all Yukon models. Yukon models feature a 116-inch wheelbase and overall length of 202 inches, which enables up to 108.9 cubic feet of storage space.
Yukon XL models are about 14 inches longer in wheelbase and 20 inches longer in overall length, offering 137.4 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.
Yukon and Yukon XL models feature a 5.3L V-8 with GM's fuel-saving Active Fuel Management technology, which is capable of running on E85 ethanol.
Responsive steering, a wide track and low center of gravity contribute to a smooth, comfortable and secure driving experience. Yukon can tow a maximum of 8,500 pounds and Yukon XL is rated at 8,100 pounds.
The interiors include standard Nuance perforated leather seating with heated and cooled first-row seats and heated second-row captain's seats, as well as leather trim throughout. Optional features include a power sunroof, power-retractable assist steps and a rear-seat, DVD-based entertainment system.
